RAM Supply Update - Impact on laptops & Desktops

We, at https://cst.co.uk/ wanted to make you aware of an upcoming change in the hardware market that will have an impact on the cost of new laptops and desktops over the coming months.

Memory (RAM) pricing has started to rise sharply, and this is now feeding through to device manufacturers. Dell has already confirmed an increase of around 10% from December, with a further rise expected in January. Other vendors are indicating that similar changes are likely.

What is causing the RAM supply issues

The main cause is demand. Large-scale AI projects are absorbing a significant share of available components, which means less supply for everyday business hardware. We’ve already seen memory costs increase significantly in a short space of time, In some cases, memory prices have doubled in recent weeks.

We will be reviewing all prices with suppliers as usual to make sure we are getting you the best prices possible.

Please get in touch if you'd like to discuss upcoming requirements.
